Cultural-Humanitarian Fund "Sukhumi”

On the 5th of March representatives of Fund “Sukhumi” hold an informational meeting on the issues of peace and security in one of the collective centre in Kutaisi, former Culinary technical school where live IDPs from Abkhazia. The meeting was attended by 19 people: men and women of middle age and also young persons.  
Attendees were acquainted with the seven components of human security and also with an analytical document of Archil Gegeshidze “Consolidation of human security of internally displaced persons in Georgia”. 
During the discussion participants expressed concern of the fact that they had been still living in unbearable conditions and that issues of accommodation are the main threat for them. They also talked about military threats, about events in August. Many of them said they were afraid of starting new war. 
- «When in informational TV programs they always tell about threats that Russia may begin war again, what kind of security can we talk about! We have experienced the war and are very much concerned about our future”. 
- «I am very afraid of a chaos in Georgia which opposition has been talking about so much recently. Perhaps Russia will use this situation and will fully annex Georgia”.
