Cultural-Humanitarian Fund "Sukhumi”

During three month Fund “Sukhumi” implemented youth project “Limits in ourselves” with the financial support of the Switzerland Development and Cooperation Agency, SDC. The objective of the project was to create films on the topic of social integration. In the project participated both local young girls and girls IDPs aged from 18 to 25.  
Twenty five girls passed workshops where they obtained skills of writing sceneries, theoretical knowledge on shooting and montage of films.  
As a result of the competition on the best scenery on the topic of integration six best sceneries have been selected. According to these sceneries have been created short films. Duration of each film is 6-8 minutes and all of them are recorded on a DVD disk.  
Within the framework of the project members of the club of girls-leaders published the bulletin where are covered articles on integration, assimilation, discrimination and tolerance. 
On the 30th of March in the cinema “Suliko” was conducted presentation of the films. Among the invited people were representatives of governmental and non-governmental structures, Mass Media, international organizations and also friends of project participants.  
The guests were welcomed by the Chairperson of Fund “Sukhumi” Alla Gamakharia and the project coordinator Meri Gelashvili. A representative of women’s non-governmental organization “Consent” Liana Beria talked about integration. Project manager Nina Schneider thanked everyone who contributed to the project implementation. 
Attendees positively evaluated works of the girls and wished them success in their further activities.
The presentation was covered on local TV channels “Rioni” and “Mega TV”.
