Training “Women's rights - human rights”

From 8th to 10th of July in the town of Ozurgeti was conducted a training on the topic “Women's rights - human rights”. In the training participated teachers, social workers, representatives of arts and non-governmental organizations. There were discussed the issues of a large family (positive and negative sides). During the group work participants defined the archetype of a family – a dominant and a subordinate, or gender equality, which caused loud debate among the participants. In role games they showed family conflict, as a basis of violence. The third day of the training was also very fruitful. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the Law on domestic violence and to get consultations of a psychologist. At the conclusion of the training participants mentioned that such trainings provide them opportunity to be open and make them think on the problem of violence that exists in their society and that the trainings should be hold not only for women but also for men.
