In August 17 was summed up the contest for journalists of regional mass media carried out within the framework of the project “Promotion of Gender Equality”, implemented with the support of the Swedish women's organization Kvinna till Kvinna. The competition was launched to identify the best newspaper, radio and television materials. According to the decision of the competitive commission prizes were distributed as follows: First Prize – “Stories without comments”, the author - Maka Chinijishvili, (newspaper P.S.). Second Prize – Her highness “First Night”, the author Sofiko Kancheli, (newspaper Akhali gazeti). Third Prize – “Accepted” violence”, the author - Manana Kveliashvili, (newspaper Akhali gazeti). At the competition was presented a broadcast prepared by Natia Adeishvili and Nato Uchava, which regards the issue of gender equality and some of its aspects, in particular the attitude of society towards the issue of sexual relations and formation of family. Taking into account the technical state of the material it was awarded the second prize. Materials submitted to the contest are published in the journal “Women’s Voice” (Promotion of Gender Equality).
