In the secondary school # 1 of Ozurgeti city there were held regular debates organized by Fund “Sukhumi”. The topic was – “Adolescent and psycho-social climate”.

The gathered society expressed great concern over the psycho-social environment in society. Unhealthy climate in the family creates threat of psycho-emotional state of adolescent, causes his/her asocial behaviour.

Qualified experts, teachers, teenagers, representatives of local government, journalists told about the necessity of improving the situation.

“Protection of children’s rights does not mean that he/she should be given right to do everything. Protection of rights means that adolescent should know what people are waiting from him/her, that he/she could make own choice between acceptable and non-acceptable behavour”.

“School is a live organism. There should necessarily be cooperation between school, family and society” – such opinion dominated at the meeting.

Again there was expressed a complaint against local government because it is not interested in social protection of families.

Particularly emotional was the letter read by one of the participants which belongs to the members of media club of the group of young women-leaders and which is about frequent crimes and increased aggression among teenagers.

“We want to declare aloud to make the whole world hear – adults, find the way out!”
