Meeting with young women in J. Shartava school

The meeting was carried out in J. Shartava school with girls – pupils of the 11th -12th grades. The topic considered at the meeting concerned violence against women, their rights, gender equality. The Beijing Platform, The UN Resolution 1325 – girls were not informed about these resolutions.
Tamar Chkhotua: I want to attend such meetings more often not to feel myself aggrieved. Today we’ve learnt about our rights what will help us overcome violence.
Manana Tsulaia: I am against early marriage. I should study at first. The more I know about my rights the easier I’ll find my place in society.
