Cultural-Humanitarian Fund "Sukhumi”

On 3rd – 9th of September, with the support of the Swedish women’s organization Kvinna Till Kvinna in Sweden there was held the third regional meeting of Young women’s Network in South Caucasus (YWNSC) in Sweden, with participation of the representatives of the non-governmental organiztions from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Georgia.

The meeting topic was: “Activism and Networking”. These issues were considered through general discussions and group workd.

The members of YWNSC had chance to get acquainted with the activities of the international organizations around the aforementioned topic. One day was given to the guests from the organizations: Amnesty International, GAPF, Idyll, Swedish Volunteers. They shared experiences and gave useful advice to the participants on development of networking and activism.

The young women obtained excellent experience of conducting the action in one of  the central parks of Stockholm, the capital Sweden, under the slogan: “Young Women for Peace and Gender Equality in South Caucasus”. In the course of the action, there was carried out the social survey of the local population.

At the completion of the meeting, there were planned joint activities on different issues: gender based violence, reproductive health, trafficking, peace and conflict, strengthening of young women.
