Workshop on the topic of peacemaking in Tskhaltubo

“Role of women in peacebuilding and in the process of conflict resolution” – this was the topic of a regular workshop held by girls-leaders of Fund “Sukhumi” on the 16th of September in Tskhaltubo for young women, living in the sanatorium “Medea”.
Participants of the meeting actively discussed the topic. They think that diplomacy, wisdom and astuteness are typical for woman and may become an important impulse for the resolution of the conflict between parties and if it is not used this can be considered not only as a mistake but also as a sin.
-Every mother takes care of prosperity of her children, their happy future, but if there is not peace, then there will be neither prosperity nor happy future. Therefore Georgian and Abkhaz women should together take care of the conflict resolution, rebuilding of relations and confidence, - mentioned the girls.
Participants spoke about the necessity of using their potential and expressed wish to meet and make friends with Abkhaz peers.
