Meeting of the Club of Women-Voters held in Batumi in the New Year of 2010, started with the pleasant news – leader of the Club, Inga Mebonia was recognized as the best radio journalist, and an active member of the Club, Tsitso Chkheidze, as the best radio producer of Year in Adjara. After expressing their congratulations members of the Club started active work.

Members of the Club of Women-Voters gathered in the Resource Centre in Khobi. In the beginning of the meeting there was showed the film "Difficult choice – woman in politics”, made by Fund "Sukhumi”. Participants have positively evaluated the film. In their opinion such films will be a good charge for those women who are going to come to politics.

In the hall of the City Council of Poti city there was held a regular meeting of the Club of Women-Voters. During active discussion members of the Club discussed women’s role in politics and necessity of gender equality.

A regular meeting of the Club was held in the office of Fund "Sukhumi” There was showed the short film "Stairs” made by girls-leaders of Fund "Sukhumi”.

A meeting of the Club of young women "Abkhazia – want to know everything” was carried out in the school # 2 of Senaki. Members of the Club talked about culture, traditions, and history of Abkhazia. Active discussion among the participants was caused by the issue of how should be built the bridge of confidence between Georgians and Abkhazians.

Women’s role in politics should be increased, – mentioned members of the Club of Women-Voters in Khoni. In their opinion, absence of women in politics is conditioned by different reasons – economic conditions, insufficient support from family members etc. During the meeting there was showed the film made by Fund "Sukhumi” – "Difficult choice – woman in politics”.

Members of the Club of Women-voters were provided with the information about the 16-day campaign against violence against women and then expressed their opinions about the problem.

A meeting of the Club of Women-Voters was held in Ozurgeti within the framework of the 16-day campaign. In the meeting participated members of the Club, representatives of different political parties, and journalists.
